My carousel animals photography is inspired by my love of color, sensual decoration, and dynamic composition. The carousel animals include horses and other animals. My carousel photographs include both in situ photos that capture the animals in their colorful surroundings and restless motion, as well as formal carousel animal "portraits" with plain backgrounds. In some cases I edit the photos to include abstract backgrounds, most of which were also taken from carousels. I have photographed some of the outstanding carousels in the United States and try to honor this wonderful form of folk art.
