The erotic art nude is one of the most ancient subjects in painting, sculpture, and other fine art.  My own nude figure paintings always begin with live female or male models.  I search for the sensual aspect of the figure, which tends to be vigorous lines for men and sensuous shapes for women.  Then I hint at what is erotic about the individual figure or pose, while remaining within the bounds of acceptability, because I want people to be able to comfortably display my art in their homes.  The erotic element often arises as much from the mood and attitude of the figure from the nude body. My fine art figures range from expressive and realistic to abstract and decorative.  The artistic inspiration for my figurative fine art comes from powerful Renaissance realists like Michaelangelo, and modern masters of sensuality like Gauguin, Klimt, Matisse, and Degas.  Today as ever, erotic painting and other figure fine art retain their universal and timeless appeal.
