Sensual Figure Drawings
Sensual figures, usually female, are an ancient subject in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other fine art. My own figure drawings always begin with live models. I search for the sensual aspects of the figure, which for me are usually organic muscular lines for men and rounded shapes for women. Although my drawings could be more sexual, I want people to be able to display my art in their homes without concern. My sensual figure drawings and paintings range from expressive and realistic to abstract and decorative. The inspiration for my figurative fine art comes from powerful Renaissance realists like Michaelangelo, and modern masters of sensuality like Gauguin, Klimt, Matisse, and Degas. Today as ever, the sensual female nude retains its universal and timeless appeal.
