A long-time Bay Area artist, creating both abstract and figurative art, I have called the Bay Area home since attending UC Berkeley as an Art and Psychology double major. Both San Franscisco Bay Area cultural life and my travels around the world provide fertile artistic inspiration. Much modern art aims to shock, but my art aims to provide sensual pleasure and psychic balance in our fragmented modern world. Suitable for home, office, or public spaces, my art has a frankly decorative intent: to enrich everyday life.

I have always taken an abstract approach to all my art, including my landscapes, still lifes, figure painting, sculpture, and photography.  Bold but balanced compositions and rich color generally define my art and photography, as well as the creation of ambiguous space, an interplay of two and three dimensions. I use almost every medium, but in my more recent work I gravitate toward collage. Among my abstract collages is a unique style of non objective art that I call PATTERN ABSTRACTS.  These are allover patterns, often overlaid atop one another, built up of layers of textures and decorative pieces in a quilt-like manner.  These unique and intriguing collages play with movement in time and space, seeking order and harmony amidst complexity, to reveal the "play of the relative on the ground of the absolute."
